Virginia Department of Health (VDH) on a System Analyst / .NET Developer opening based in Richmond, VA (local candidates only). The role requires occasional onsite presence for meetings and planning sessions, and interviews will also be onsite.

VDH relies on several internal ASP.NET/MVC and .NET Core applications to support its statewide public-health operations. This role helps develop, enhance, and maintain these systems—working closely with the Office of Information Management. You’d contribute to building stable, secure applications and improving SQL Server databases that power critical public-health workflows.

Key Responsibilities

*	Develop, maintain, and enhance ASP.NET/MVC and .NET Core applications

*	Build and modify stored procedures, queries, and database objects in SQL Server

*	Work with C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML to build or improve UI and functionality

*	Participate in onsite meetings, planning sessions, and technical discussions

*	Produce clear documentation and communicate effectively with the team

Required Skills

*	5–6+ years with C# .NET (web design + development)

*	5+ years with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery

*	5–6+ years with SQL Server (DB design + SQL programming)

*	Strong communication and documentation abilities
