A contract Data & Reporting Analyst (SQL/BI) opportunity with a leading hospitality client based in McLean, VA or Memphis, TN. This is a hybrid role (onsite + remote), full-time engagement.
This role requires hands-on SQL query development, data modeling, and reporting experience, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and exposure to BI tools such as Tableau. The SQL Reporting Analyst will work closely with business analysts, managers, and end users to design and deliver accurate, meaningful reports and dashboards.

Job Description:
General Characteristics:
Responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing SQL-based reports to support Supply Management business operations. The SQL Reporting Analyst will create ad-hoc reports, assist in project management tasks, and support ongoing BI dashboard releases.
Responsibilities: 
*	Design, develop, and test complex SQL queries and stored procedures based on business requirements.
*	Develop meaningful data models and reporting views for smooth report generation.
*	Create and deliver ad-hoc reports in Microsoft Excel and Tableau for business analysts and stakeholders.
*	Perform analysis and validation of queried data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
*	Partner with business analysts and business owners to clarify requirements and deliver finalized reports.
*	Support internal and external users with data mapping for ad hoc reporting.
*	Troubleshoot reporting issues, collaborating across functional teams to resolve them promptly.
*	Review and optimize existing SQL queries and stored procedures for performance.
*	Identify opportunities to convert ad-hoc reports into standardized BI dashboards, coordinating with Sr. Analysts and BI developers.
*	Maintain and distribute regularly scheduled canned reports for end users.
*	Assist the Senior Manager in project management tasks such as prioritizing efforts, leading update calls, providing meeting recaps, and escalating issues.
Required Qualifications: 
*	Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
*	Project Management Certification.
*	3–5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
*	Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL Server (including SSIS).
*	Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, functions, data modeling).
Preferred Qualifications: 
*	Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, CognosBI, or Spotfire.
*	Knowledge of supply chain management concepts.
